Booth security officers perform an essential function in the overall security of an event. These officers give exhibitors the freedom and peace of mind to conduct business on a busy show floor without having to worry about their product going missing or vandalism occurring to the booth that they spent many hours and dollars in putting together. These officers only function is the safety and security of the booth they have been placed in charge of. After hours the show floor empties out and security coverage concentrates primarily on perimeter concerns, however with a booth security officer the exhibitor knows their booth and product are being watched and protected at all times. Booth security officers are also trained in fire prevention.
